The Bottom Line
The Xtreme Guard 5-layer car cover by Leader Accessories is a middle-of-the-pack product both in terms of price and quality. It’s available in over 20 different sizes and shapes for pretty much any type of vehicle, from sedans to ATVs. It is competitively priced and performs well for the price, offering protection against dust, dirt, rain, snow, ice, bird droppings and harmful UV rays. It comes with a storage bag and clips for securing it across the bottom of the car. Recommended for indoor and outdoor use.
We rate this cover 3.9 out of 5 stars. Let’s dig a little deeper and see what we have here.

What You Get
One car cover (blue/gray in color) with elasticized corners and two plastic grommets on the bottom. A storage bag is also included for easy storage when not in use.
Features & Benefits

Let’s get one thing straight before we dig deeper: the car cover is advertised as having 5 layers, but they each must be very, very thin because we had a hard time finding all 5 layers. That’s not to say it is a bad product, but 5 layers is maybe a bit optimistic.
The material of the cover is fairly thick and sturdy. It is supposedly biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly. The fabric is also UV water resistant, protecting your vehicle from damaging UV rays and pollutants in the air. The sealed seams are 100% waterproof and with a large variety of sizes this cover comes in, you can be sure to be able to find a good fit for your vehicle.

Included with the cover is a storage bag for easy stowing, as well as a pair of tie-down clips allowing you to secure it along the bottom of your car so it doesn’t come off with a gust of wind.
Warranty on the product is a respectable 2 years, which should be more than enough for average use.
So, How Does It Perform?
Competition for car covers at this price point is fairly high, so it is hard to make a product that really stands out. We don’t feel this is the case for this Xtreme Guard cover, but it performs well enough.

The fabric is nice and soft and although not 100% waterproof, it does provide adequate protection against rain and snow. If you are in an area that gets a lot of rain or snow and ice, we would recommend to invest in a more heavy-duty cover. The cover’s materials are high-grade and strong, though perhaps not as good as the previously reviewed OxGord Executive car cover.
Fit is good, although somewhat on the smaller side. As with all car covers, be sure to properly measure your vehicle and select the correct size when ordering online. If you’ve got the right size, it will fit nice and snug.
What Buyers Are Saying
- Good fabric – strong and doesn’t scratch.
- Not really 100% waterproof if exposed to rain for longer periods of time.
- Material is a bit thinner than expected.
- Sizes run a bit small.
- There is a “front” tag indicating which way the cover goes over your vehicle.
